Gribben Stockyards have developed a mobile sheep loading ramp for loading up to the third deck of conventional road transport. The heavy duty design incorporates many features for operator safety as well as easy animal handling.

Basic features include:-
- construction: all steel
- loading height: provides 13 positions between 1.0 and 3.0 metres and features a safety locking system
- race: 0.86m wide x 8.45m long with checker plate deck with pressed cleats, pressed steel sides 0.86m high and a personnel access gate from the walkway at the top end
- walkway: 0.65m wide with expanded steel floor, hand rails and kick boards
- lifting mechanism: heavy duty electric winch powered by a 12 volt battery with a solar panel
- loading stability: 4 screw jack stands to ensure level operation
- towing requirement: suitable for a one tonne utility or similar vehicle
- towing equipment: equipped with signs and lights for towing on public roads in daylight, registration not required
- finish: painted.

Free standing models are available to suit specific installation requirements.

Stock Loading Ramps

Gribben Stockyards are the designers and manufacturers of the original split deck adjustable height stock loading ramps.

Gribben Stockyards loading ramps are marketed in 17 models to accommodate the client's specific requirements.

The major variations between models include:-
· free standing or mobile
· adjustable height deck or fixed height deck
· hot dip galvanized or painted
· flat deck extension with walkways and access gates for fixed height ramps

The minor variations include:-
· the mobile model can be equipped to carry a Gribben Stockyards 60 head set of portable cattle yards
· all models can be equipped with a back gate and walkway

Features of Gribben Stockyards "all stock" loading ramps:-
· all steel construction with steel checker plate deck with pressed cleats
· the deck height of the adjustable ramps is easily adjustable by one person within seconds (no pins, bolts or spanners etc. required)
· free standing ramps with the adjustable deck have seven height increments from 0.4 to 1.4m
· mobile ramps with the adjustable deck have six height increments from 0.4m to 1.4m
· the deck is 2.1mm non-slip checker plate 0.8m wide
· the frame is 656mm x 65mm box section high tensile steel
· lower sides are blanked to prevent leg damage
· side rails are high tensile 'uni-rail' with 2.3mm wall thickness
· the back gate has a cam-action latch and has 180 movement
· all ramps have 2.0m head clearance for stock as standard; higher clearances are available
· all ramps are compatable with Gribben Stockyards portable cattleyards
